Senior frontend engineer · Zagreb, Croatia · working remotely

Hi, I'm Tomislav. I build web products from the first sketch to production.

Seventeen years of frontend work. Five of them at an event-management SaaS, on the product and the growth side, and the last year building my own campsite-operations platform with Vue and Supabase. I care about interfaces people understand at a glance, and about code the next person can read.

Selected work

Four projects that show how I work: one I own end to end, one for a client, one inside a product team, and one small thing I built for my friends.

Move by Erika homepage: navigation, the headline 'Snaga koja se osjeti', a short intro with two buttons, and a large photo of the trainer stretching in the studio.

Move by Erika — headless fitness membership platform

A Next.js front end over WordPress content, with Supabase accounts and Stripe subscriptions for an online training studio. Editors keep Gutenberg; members get a paid video library and a seven-step nutrition questionnaire validated on both client and server. Next and WordPress talk through signed requests, so there is no shared login to leak.

Role
Sole developer, through my studio inWeb

sched.com homepage in April 2026: dark hero with the headline 'Event planning is hard, but it doesn't have to be', two buttons, and a laptop, tablet, phone and watch showing the schedule, speakers and tickets.

Sched — product UI in an event-management SaaS

Five years on the organiser control panel and the marketing site of an established event platform. Onboarding checklist with progress, empty states driven by the CMS, a collapsible side navigation, ticket setup with a live preview, an accessibility pass across buttons and focus, and the A/B testing setup for the growth team.

Role
Frontend engineer, product and growth teams
Stack
PHP templates, SCSS, jQuery, Vue form builder, WordPress, ACF, Amplitude
Two phone screens of Fuca termini: the session card with sign-up buttons, a waitlist badge and a capacity bar, and the Teams tab with two balanced ten-player teams.
Side project In progress 2026

Fuca termini — five-a-side football organiser

A mobile-first React app replacing the spreadsheet my football group used for sign-ups, waitlist, teams, results and the cash box. Players log in with a phone number and PIN, the waitlist is derived in the database so it can never drift, and a small balancer builds fair teams that respect who wants to play together.

Role
Sole developer
Stack
React 19, TanStack Query, Supabase (RLS, RPC, edge functions), SQL-tested flows

Also on the record: more than twenty custom WordPress builds for clients (membership, e-commerce, booking), the front end of a Laravel bookshop and of an auction marketplace, and a tested MemberPress pricing plugin. Happy to walk through any of them.

About

I started in 2009 as a freelancer, building websites for small businesses in Zagreb. In 2015 that became inWeb, my own studio, and a long run of WordPress builds: themes from scratch, WooCommerce shops, membership sites, page builders editors could actually use.

In 2020 I joined Sched, a SaaS for event organisers, first on the marketing site and growth experiments, then in the product team working on the control panel. That is where marketing-site habits turned into product habits: states, roles, edge cases, and the patience to make a legacy codebase a little better with every change.

Camppy is what I do with that experience when nobody hands me a spec. I designed the product, built it and run it. It taught me more about data modelling, security rules and operations than any client project could.

I use AI tools every day and say so. The architecture, the decisions and the bugs are still mine.

Let's talk

I'm open to senior frontend and full-stack roles in remote, international teams. The fastest way to reach me is email.
